Comfort Food

My husband & I both have comfort food in the house. It’s the food that soothes us just to know it’s there.

For John, it’s milk, Frosted Flakes, Golden Crisp, Fruit Loops & coffee.

For me it’s fresh garlic and fresh herbs.

HerbsItalian parsley and cilantro are my mainstays. Sometimes I add basil or thyme. I cut the ends off the stems, put them in water and cover them with a plastic bag to protect them in the refrigerator. When I’m cooking, sometimes I just leave them sit on the counter for awhile - a bouquet of fresh, green goodness.
