Come In My Fridge

Hello everyone, I hope your Tuesday is treating you well.

Yoga this morning was really good….but boy oh boy, was I ever sweaty!!! I don’t think the room is quite as hot as Bikram but it had to have been at least 98-99 degrees in there this morning and Thom had us twisting is all sorts of crazy postures. My whole body is EXTREMELY sore right now and that made me think back and realize that I have worked out for the past 10 days straight without any rest days. Exercise has done its part in keeping me busy during my grief, but I think its high time for a rest day!

I rushed after yoga to the grocery store because I had to do our first “couples” shopping trip, which I found out today is MUCH more expensive than just shopping for one!! I started to feel a little faint in the store because I didn’t have time to get a snack after yoga, so I rummaged through my purse and found this mini larabar that I got at a race a few months ago—

I also had a sample slice of Boar’s Head turkey while I was buying a half pound for sandwiches and I felt a lot better after that!

Once home, I made a quick lunch of some balsamic tomato soup (from the hot bar at Greenwise) , half of a sunflower flax whole wheat roll and a babybel cheese. I LOVED this soup….it was very light (no cream that I could detect) and the balsamic flavor really brought out the ripeness of the tomatoes. Perfect for summer! Of course I am also addicted to these babybel cheeses so this lunch was a real winner.

And that my mom and I got pedicures!! She had two $20 off coupons for spa pedicures so how could we resist? Sometimes it just feels really good to just sit and let someone take care of you. Well, heck, it always feels good but especially right now.

Since I was in such a rush this morning and didn’t have time to photograph my groceries (the first big shop!), I decided to let you all into my fridge instead…..warning: I JUST moved in a few days ago so a bunch of this stuff is Ryan’s and has been there for a long time ;)

I don’t even have a clue what most of this stuff is so I’m not even going to guess…..we do have a plethora of coconut milk, raw tahini, sliced almonds, wheat germ and salad dressing though.

So there ya have it!

I can’t wait to show you all our new stove but I don’t think we will be getting it until Friday. Once I organize the cabinets I will take a picture of that, too, but right now its too sloppy!! I don’t want you all to think I’m a slob or anything!

I’m off to work on my mushroom recipe for next month’s Mushroom Channel post and work on writing my book. Yep, I finally bit the bullet and started writing my book the other day. I’m not giving any hints as to anything about it though…you all will just have to wait and see. Hopefully you will see it in 10 years or less. Haha ;)
