Christmas Fun

Posted Dec 26 2009 12:00am

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

I know I did.

Here’s a short recap, in pictures of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2009.

Christmas Eve (and day)

Overnight Oats

Salty and Sweet

Lunch buffet at work

Desserts!

Dinner- Seven Moons, as is a family tradition!

All dolled up

Shirley Temples for the cousins, cocktails for our moms

Dumpling, Crab Rangoon

Sparerib, sushi (x2!)

7 Moons rice, General Tsao’s, Mixed steamed veggies, lemongrass chicken, lo mein

My favorite- lemon chicken (x2)

Shared between all- green tea and coconut ice creams. I had two tastes of each.

Back home, Ali and I exchanged our first presents. I got stemless wine glasses!

Later that night, I sipped some egg nog and baked!

Cranberry Upside down cake from Cooking Light

Christmas 2009

I snacked on some banana bread first thing, and then we opened presents! Some hilights included a Jack Lalaine Power Juicer from “Santa”, some house goods from Crate & Barrel, an individual egg poacher, some books and DVDS (Julie + Julia!) and lots of J Crew clothes (Thanks, mom!)!!

I used my new egg poacher for breakfast.

My first juice- Carrot-apple!

More banana bread while cooking!

A chocolate covered cherry from my mom!

I made brussels sprouts with grapes as usual, and a Sweet potato butternut squash gratin, again from Cooking Light.

Came out fab!

At Grandma’s house, I snagged a couple deviled eggs while I helped mash potatoes and put out rolls and pickles =D

Dinner was served!

Turkey, my dad’s cranberry sauce, my uncle’s stuffing, my brussels sand gratin, my mom’s broccoli bake and some carrots and turnips.

Dessert!

Tried a little of everything. It was all delicious!

I was STUFFED after it all but it was worth it 100%.

Today I ate healthier, but not 100%- we still ate Mexican (burritos!) for dinner and had some light ice cream for dessert. TOMORROW my mom and I are embarking on a 3-day what we call “detox” to eat super super healthy and rid our bodies of all the JUNK we have been eating the last week! And then next Wednesday I head off to Canada with one of my besties, Katrina to see Nick and ring in the New Year =)

I’ll be back soon!
