Thanks for sharing. It's hard to eat well when eating out, especially when you have dietary needs or want to watch your calorie intake. Often food items that seem healthy and are marketed that way, are not. It’s amazing how hard restaurant chains are fighting to hide their nutrition information. For this reason, we just launched Wellternatives which lets people find nutrition info for thousands of chain restaurants for free – right from their cell phone or on the Wellternative page: http://www.wellsphere.com/wellternatives.s. It also makes recommendations for a healthier alternative, hence the name… Wellternatives. If restaurants aren’t going to post their nutrition info, we figured we’d do what we could to give people instant access to the info from anywhere. Would love to hear what you think of it!

That is the greatest thing! WOW! I'm absolutely amazed, and this will be more than helpful from today forward.
I searched some of my favorite menu items at Starbucks, McDonalds (which I rarely ever eat, but have heard some pretty bad things about calorie content), and Subway. My one question is, are the alternatives something else on the menu at that location, or something to buy/make elsewhere?
Got it.
Now I just need the willpower to suggest a salad to myself. :)

Chain restaurants with healthier fare
Posted by Kristen D.
Health Magazine visited sit-down restaurants to see where you can find healthy, fresh food. The chains that shared nutritional information were judged, and the 10 that came out on top were:
Uno's Chicago Grill
Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes
Mimi's Cafe
P.F. Chang's China Bistro
Bob Evans Restaurants
Ruby Tuesday
Romano's Macaroni Grill
Chevy's Fresh Mex
Olive Garden
Denny's
