Carrots In Your Diet?

Have you stopped eating carrots because you think they are too high in sugar? Well, these beautiful orange, nutrient rich vegetables would like for you to reconsider. Carrots are an excellent source of antioxidant compounds and the richest vegetable source of the pro-vitamin A carotenes. These antioxidants help protect against cardiovascular disease, cancer and promote good vision. Go ahead...just wash up a carrot and take a yummy bite!

We love 'em. In fact - this is crazy but my 10-year-old actually asked for carrots in his lunch today! We had been eating less than good all weekend and he was concerned he hadn't gotten enough vegetables in lately! Love carrots!
