In my experience, you can't get people to do anything unless they want to do it. A family intervention with a professional may be a beginning to get her attention. Like drugs, alcohol, and going to the dentist (I kid you not), they always wait until they bottom out.
Good luck. It's hard to watch someone you love hurt themself.

Can you force someone to get help?
Posted by help4mysister
I just found out recently my younger sister is suffering from bulimia. I caught her purging after dinner. She claims she has been doing for months. Now she is refusing to get help. She is only 16. How could I force her to go to a therapist? Ive tried talking, now she just denies the fact that she has a problem at all. She is trying to convince me that she no longer purges. Ive made appointments for her but I cant get her in the car. What can I do?
