So I still haven’t figured out how to post pictures to my blog-but one step at a time. Last night I didn’t get home from a family function until pretty late, so it was really hard to wake up and work out this morning. I decided that since I ran hard the last two days, and tomorrow will be my long run, today I would take the day off from running, but do a strength work out instead.
I did my trusty Tracy Anderson arm workout with a few extra exercises that I like to do. I worked up a good sweat to say the least.
While I was working out I cooked dinner for tonight since I won’t be getting home from work until later, and I know I will be starving. On the menu for tonight: Salmon, roasted turnips, fresh green beans, and organic brown rice. I still need to cook the salmon, but want to try something new and interesting. Any ideas?
I just read about this new seasoning in Bethenny Frankel’s Book, and I put it on EVERYTHING. It is really the miracle seasoning and doesn’t have too much salt. It adds the best flavor to almost anything.
I topped the turnips with the SPIKE seasoning before roasting them in the oven.
I tried something new for breakfast this morning… OIKOS Greek yogurt with honey. This stuff is delicious! It is plain flavored Greek yogurt, which I love, with a tiny bit of honey at the bottom to give it the right amount of sweetness. To this I added some fruit salad I had left over, and 1 tbs chia seeds along with 1 tbs hemp seeds. It was a wonderful light, but filling treat.
