Brae's OatCakes

Posted Aug 21 2012 12:31am

1 Cup Instant oatmeal

2 Cups Buttermilk Pancake mix

2 Eggs

1 Half-Cup of milk or cream

1 Half-Cup of water

Maple Syrup

Prepare your 1 cup of instant oatmeal in the microwave (the directions are on the package)

Get a mixing bowl and add two cups of your pancake mixture

Beat your 2 eggs and half cup of milkwith each other and add to your dry mixture

Retrieve your cooked oatmeal from the microwave and add it to your dry mixture.

Add cinnamon (depending on your taste)

And Maple Syrup.

Stir mixture with large spoon until combined thoroughly.

I assume anyone looking at this recipe would have made pancakes before and know what they're doing. I only have to mention that when cooking these pancakes they are MUCH heavier than your normal pancake so allow it to bubble and dry out a bit while on the frying pan before flipping them because if you don't let them sit here and cook...the middle of them will be raw. HOWEVER the moistness of them should not be mistaken for them being raw because they do come out very moist BUT DONE ASWELL! Just play it by ear and see what happens.
