Mondays are always so hard to face, I never want to get out of bed, and I wish it was still the weekend. Usually I perk up after a trip to the gym though :). But lets get back to Sunday's food, shall we?
On Sunday I got up to another fantabulous breakfast cookie. These cookies are the perfect workout fuel for my late morning weekend workouts. I'm so in love with these things, thanks Fitnessista! I blended up a little spinach, kale and frozen fruit to drizzle on top.
After lots of studying (I'm getting close to finishing my prep for getting my certification!), I went to the gym for a lovely hour on the stair-stepper. I wanted to run outside, but the weather was pretty bleh. I came home to a super tasty breakfast slushie with kale, spinach, frozen berries, frozen papaya and half a nana. Add some ground flax, vanilla protein and delish granola for the tastiest snack ever! I even snuck a few raisins in there. I love how when I use berries, it turns my slushie a gross brown color. It amazes me that it still tastes so good!
Back to studying! We also ran a few errands. Hit up Henry's and TJ to get some groceries for the week and took the doggies for a walk. When I came home I had some more lovely raw veggie lettuce wraps. This time I added a few peanuts and had a bit of goat cheese on the side. So colorful and pretty!
My afternoon snack was two-ish microwaved egg whites over spinach and ezekiel bread with some salsa and a pear on the side.
I took a break from studying to watch a movie with the BF and then take the doggies to the park to play. There is a great new dog park right next to us that has a fantastic view of the bay. Love it! Dinner was chicken and grilled veggies for the BF and a salad for me. Kidney beans, orange pepper, yellow pepper, zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, raisins, spinach and mixed greens with a bit of agave nectar, olive oil and rice vinegar sprinkled over the top. Mmmm tastyness!
After dinner was even more studying, followed by a delicious dessert of apple with almond butter and a few un-pictured raisins. I slept like a baby after such a full full day!
This morning I had a quickie breakfast slushie with tonnnnns of kale, frozen mango, frozen papaya and half a nana. I went with vanilla protein, flax and granola for mix-ins. This breakfast got me all ready for a quick walk with the doggies and prepared to head off to the gym.
This morning was lower back, calves and abs. I got some new exercises starting this week. Yay for changing it up a bit. Today I wanted to focus on muscular endurance so I did only two sets, but lots of reps for each exercise.

I followed this with 15 mins of fast work on the stair climber. Worked up a lovely gross sweat!
My 8am snackie this morning was overnight oats with some mango and berries mixed in and flax thrown on top. I had some chocolate protein with it. Let me just state that I hate my fridge. It is absolutely impossible to control the temperature in that thing. My oats were totally frozen this morning, which broke my tupperware when I clumsily dropped it! I want a new fridge!
