Good Morning!
Happy Monday to everyone! Monday mornings can be tough but I made it through mine with little difficulty today and am upbeat and chipper. It may have helped that I started my morning off with: 5 capsules of Amazing Grass Green SuperFood supplements 1 glass of warm lemon water and my all time favorite nut butter and banana on an Ezekiel English Muffin. Another fun thing that I picked up at the Wheatsville Co-op was Blue Diamond Crunchy Almond Butter. I am a huge nut butter fan and love to try out new kinds so this made my day. This stuff is really crunchy and delicious. It is studded with almonds throughout the batch and made my breakfast extra awesome this morning. This is sort of a natural transition for the folks at Blue Diamond Nuts to branch out into nut butters. I bought the home style version but they also sell ready spread in both Creamy, Crunchy and Honey flavors. I did not see the Honey Almond Butter but it sounds delicious. The ingredients on the Crunchy version is simple: Almonds and Sea Salt. That falls within the 5 ingredient rule. Do you know about the 5 ingredients rule? Basically, I am "trying" to buy things that have 5 ingredients or less. That way you really are eating whole, less processed foods. This is no easy task in today's world, especially with kids. But I am working on it! Blue Diamond Crunchy Almond Butter and Banana on Ezekiel English Muffin 1 Food for Life 7-Sprouted Grain Ezekiel English Muffin 1 tablespoon Blue Diamond Crunchy Almond Butter 1 small banana, sliced Toast english muffin, spread with almond butter and top with banana slices. Enjoy! I dropped the kids off at school and then ran for a good 45 minutes, taught Baby Boot Camp in the garage (due to the rain- love it!) and then decided to run for another 20 minutes before heading home. I still need to do the Ab Ripper series and get cleaned up for the day. The run felt great this morning. It was a little misty out and the weather has cooled off significantly. I had a little early lunch once I got home. I made a Greek Nectarine Chia Parfait. I am really loving the Chia Seeds. They are so easy to incorporate into your diet and good for me! ![]() Greek Nectarine Chia Parfait 3/4 cup Fage 0% Greek Yogurt 1 nectarine, chopped 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds 1 tablespoon sliced almonds Delicious. Okay... I need a little push to go and do my Ab Ripper series. I am feeling a little lazy but my stomach needs the work the most. Just go and do it. Off to finish up workout and clean up. Have a great afternoon and I will check back later with snacks and dinner. |
