Now, I also have yet another Kale Salad recipe to share this week. Have I told you how much I love Kale?? YES.
Hazelnut and Prune Kale Salad Don't get turned off by the prune aspect of this salad. You can call them Dried Plums if you need too. Hazelnuts and Prunes go so well together. 2 bunches of Lacinto Kale, cut into ribbons sprinkle of sea salt 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp dijon mustard 1 cup thinly sliced red cabbage 1/2 cup hazelnuts, chopped 1/2 cup prunes, chopped Put kale in a large bowl. Sprinkle with Sea Salt. Massage kale with your hands so it begins to wilt and darkens. Whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil and dijon mustard. Toss the kale with dressing. Add prunes and hazelnuts. Toss again and enjoy. Yum!
I am off to pick up the kids and on to the afternoon activities. Have a great day and please spread the news about Bliss Holistic Health to anyone that you think may need my services:) |

I hope everyone is having a great day so far. I am super excited to share with you my new business website and tell you a little about what I have been up to. As I mentioned last week, I have done a bit of soul-searching about my future and figured out that I know what I want to do and that I better "get on with the getting on" because life is short. Thus, welcome to Bliss Holistic Health !
I am finally doing what I have wanted to do for quite some time and that is start my own business here in Portland. As many of you know, I had my own business in Austin, TX, where I did personal training, taught boot camp and yoga as well as conducted grocery store tours and cooking classes. Since moving here, I have become certified as a Wellness Coach and soon to be Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have been coaching clients with their health and wellness goals here in Portland as well as clients across the country remotely via email and phone. I have continued to build my toolbox of skills to provide my clients with a more holistic approach. Needless to say, I am excited to finally step out on my own to share what I have learned so far.
