Bliss Holistic Health Cooking Classes

Good Morning and Happy Thursday!

As many of you know, I love to cook, bake and educate.  I started blogging at Eat, Drink and Be Aware 4 years ago today.  Funny.  

My husband encouraged me to find an outlet for my passion- FOOD!  It really is my favorite subject and part of the reason I love my job so much. So with that in mind, I wanted to share my updated Healthy Cooking Classes page at Bliss Holistic Health and let you see what I have been up to.

Cooking feeds your body, mind, and soul. It allows you to control the food you put into your body, connect with your family and friends over a home cooked meal, and save the money you might otherwise spend in restaurants or on processed, prepackaged foods. Believe it or not, making simple and satisfying meals from scratch doesn't have to be hard. You'll find that eating well can also be delicious!

Enjoy a Cooking Party in the comfort of your own home. That's right! I'll come to YOUR house. I create the menu, bring the food and supplies and even clean up.  All you do is invite your friends and serve the drinks!

Pantry Clean-out/Stocking a Healthy and Happy Kitchen:  
Do you want to eat healthy and buy less packaged goods but don't know where to start?  Invite me over to your kitchen where we will:

  • Clear out the "not so healthy stuff" and make room for the good stuff!
  •  Swap not so great choices for better ones
  • Learn to read labels
  • Get your pantry organized and set up with everything you need to make your kitchen a healthy, fun place to cook

Now speaking of cooking, I just made a super simple and fabulous lunch and feel the "need" to share!

Kale, Carrot, Zucchini Spelt Wrap with Raw Zucchini Chips

Kale, Carrot, Zucchini Spelt Wrap
with Raw Zucchini Chips

1 Rudi's Organic Spelt Tortilla
1 tbsp hummus
handful of lightly massaged kale
1/4 cup of grated carrots
5-6 slices of zucchini
3 slices of avocado

Top tortilla with hummus, kale, carrots, zucchini and avocado slices.  Roll up the tortilla and cut in half.  Serve with some raw zucchini slices.


Now with that I am back to work!
