Bliss Boot Camp Jump Start

Good Morning!

I am finally recovering from all the Christmas activity.  My sister and her family left yesterday and we headed out to do a few errands.  I hope everyone had a great holiday- we certainly did and it was great spending time with my sister and her family as well as all or our cousins.  I am looking forward to the New Year and to starting my own Bliss Boot Camp!  I have been working on a Jump Start program for all the participants and after all the indulgence the last few weeks I am looking forward to cleansing the body and getting myself back on track too.

We are going on the Disney Cruise this coming week and know that there will be all sorts of temptation on the boat as well but want to focus on being outside, swimming, running laps around the ship and trying to eat as healthy as possible.  The ship is going to Nassau and I have already booked some fun outdoor excursions.  I am working on my list of New Year's Resolutions and would love to hear some of yours as well..... but we have a few more days in 2009 so I don't want to get ahead of myself.

I have been overdosing on sugar the last few days and can feel the effects of it on my body.  That is one of the New Year's resolutions that I am going to be working on.  I am eating clean so far today and most of the goodies are gone from the house or getting there at least!

Breakfast was a Greek Yogurt Pear Raspberry Crunch Bowl.  I finally finished my Mix My Granola container and think I need to make another order.  That stuff is great and really fun because you can add in things like dried goji berries and chia seeds.  Yum.



Greek Yogurt Pear Raspberry Crunch Bowl

2/3 cup Fage 2% Greek Yogurt
1 small pear, diced
handful of raspberries
1/4 cup of Mix My Granola (Abby's Stash)

I am really getting excited about Bliss Boot Camp.  Baby Boot Camp is closing its doors but lucky for me some of the girls want to continue working out and we are going to expand on what we have already started. 


For any of you local readers following is the info on classes if you want to come and check it out:


First class is free!



Classes will be held- Monday through Friday from 8:30-9:30 am.  We will have Monday, Wednesday and Friday's class at our normal location- Hill Country Galleria-- meeting in front of Panera Bread.

On Tuesday and Thursdays- we are going to mix it up a bit and meet at the new Bee Cave Central Park (it is a fabulous place to have boot camp.) Class will be at the same time- 8:30am-9:30am and we will meet in the main parking lot.

Everyone is welcome-- you don't have to have a child to participate.  We have a great group that includes mother's with children, mother's without children (older kids), pregnant and single women.  Men and  hubby's are welcome to come as well.

We also are going to kick off the Jump Start program on Friday, Jan. 8th.  I will be doing a fitness benchmark workout (think timed running trials, sit-up, push-up and other strength benchmarks).  I will also be bringing the "infamous" scale and tape measure for those who wish to track weight/fat loss.   I will help you each customize a New Year's health resolution that you can stick with whether it be losing weight, gaining strength or just maintaining overall health.  

We will be doing a Benchmark Workout every 8 weeks to assess your progress and adjust each person's goals.

After all the fun and frolicking of the holidays it will be a nice start to the New Year and we will be incorporating a mix of different workouts from interval training to strength training and performance running.  I am also a certified yoga instructor and love to teach Power Yoga so if there is an interest we can incorporate a Power Yoga class into one of our days-- let me know your thoughts.

12- Class Pass- $95.00
Monthly Pass- $75.00

6-month commit- $65.00*

I still have some recipes to share with you and actually my hubby helped me on them so he is writing them up as we speak/blog.  I will upload them later today (I promise) and I have a great  recipe that I am making for dinner tonight as well.
 
My exercise regime has been a little off the last few days but again I am getting back on track and am looking forward to a healthy 2010 year.
