Big Week

Posted Aug 11 2009 9:46am

Good morning, blog friends! 8-)

Because breakfast was delivered to my door this morning, I fit in an extra 15 minutes at the gym. My workout included: 20 minutes strength training (upper body), 30 minutes on the elliptical, and 15 minutes walking on the treadmill. Not too shabby!

Breakfast from The Fresh Diet: Mandarin Orange Whole Wheat Muffin with Fresh Banana & Passion Fruit Yogurt

As expected, everything was delicious and fresh, but, to be honest, breakfast wasn’t enough food for me. I like a BIG breakfast to start my day off on the right foot. A tiny muffin, 4 ounces of yogurt, and 1/4 of a banana just doesn’t do it for me!

To breakfast, I added some blueberries to the yogurt as well as an iced coffee with soy milk and agave nectar…

And a few of Amanda’s cookies! Cookies for breakfast? Why not, right? ;-)

I’m holding onto Amanda’s baked goods for HLS bake sale, so she sent me some treats as a thank you. A pretty sweet thank you, right?! :-D

Operation Beautiful in Boston

Look what I saw on my commute into work yesterday! As I was getting off the T in Harvard Square, I saw this little post-it note! It immediately made me smile! Operation Beautiful is spreading like wildfire! :-D

Big Week

This week is a big week for me! Lots of life-changing events! 8-O

Mal and I signed a lease on a new apartment last night. We’re moving to a bigger place in a GREAT location in Southie– right in the middle of all of the action. It’ll be nice being able to walk to everything that we need!

We’re also welcoming a new member into our family tonight!

And, of course, the Healthy Living Summit is this weekend! Ahh! I can’t believe it’s so soon!!!

There are also a few things that I can’t reveal on the blog just yet, but I promise that they are exciting!

Boston Experience

Speaking of the HLS, Nasoya has offered to sponsor some of my activities this weekend! :-D This means that they have given me a stipend to enjoy while spending time with the HLS bloggers and the Summit attendees.

We (Summit Committee) didn’t save any of our budget for our own activities (including the ones open to everyone) or our meals for the weekend (besides the ones included in the actual event). We wanted to give you guys the BEST Summit possible, so we put all of our funds into the event. Plus, we’ve all put a TON of time into planning the Summit, so why not enjoy some financial support from Nasoya?

As you know, I LOVE Nasoya’s Silken Creations, and I am happy to be affiliated with this company. They’re also a local company– they’re actually located right next to the town where I grew up!

Question of the Day

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
