Posted Oct 14 2009 10:03pm
Did you know that 1 in 8 children with type 1 diabetes also has celiac disease? This means that the gluten-free diet is immensely important to children with type 1 diabetes. That's why Bhuja has teamed up with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and is proud to sponsor the Walk to Cure Diabetes. More than 4,500 local participants from
the DC area will be walking to raise $1.6 million to support research to find a
cure for juvenile diabetes. Besides the Walk itself, the day
will include plenty of free food, live entertainment, games for kids
and festivities both before and after the event.
So, follow Bhuja's lead and come out to support the cause and eat your favorite Bhuja snack mixes!
When: Sunday, May 31, 2009 Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Walk begins at 10:00 a.m.
Where: Nationals Park 1500 South Capitol Street, SE Washington, DC 20003-1507
