Ask for the lite menu

Posted by Mary Ann P.

I was shocked to find out that one of my favorite eateries had a seperate "lite" menu. It's not a fact that they advertise. They also allow you to split a regular entree with someone.

It just goes to show if you askd the right questions it helps. When you eat out don't be afraid to ask about lite menus half portions, splitting meals and food preparation ie. use of oil butter, cream etc.

Where your health is concerned it's no time to be shy. Chances are they'll know the answer to your question which means you're not the first person to ask.

--- and if it is too much to eat, do not feel shy about getting it packed. And since most places offer food that is too much for one person, I always find I have enough left over to last another meal.
It shocks me that places would not advertise if they have lite menus. More and more people have begun to live a healthier lifestyle, and goodness knows that those who have done so from the start would have loved to have seen this at some of the major chain restaurants they frequent with friends. I would think it would be better for business, and would definitely be better for health.
I'd never heard of this. I have a friend who simply special orders everything. Add this, hold that, etc. They have a full kitchen after all! They can cook up whatever we ask for, if they want us to return!
