Are you Willing to Start an Activity Program?

Posted Aug 28 2009 10:00pm

According to The American Dietetic Association, physical activity should be part of a comprehensive weight management program. Physical activity should include 30 minutes or more of moderate intensity activity on most, and preferably, all days of the week, unless medically contraindicated. Activity contributes to weight loss, may decrease abdominal fat, and may help with weight maintenance.

To get started, print this list and circle the activities you enjoy doing.

Only the ones you really enjoy.

Once you have determined your favorite activities:

Put an F next to the activities you can do for free.

Put a T next to the activities you can do today.

Put a $ next to the activities that cost money and use the Latte Factor® to put aside a few dollars a day for your favorite activity.

Put a NO next to the activities that you are unable to do, because of an illness or disease.

Put a C next to the activities that burn the most calories.

If it’s free and you can do it today, what are you waiting for? Schedule your favorite activities into your Day Planner and keep your appointment as if it’s paying you money. The benefits are priceless:

  • Better mood
  • Increases longevity and manages disease
  • Manages your weight
  • Strengthens your heart and lungs
  • Deepens your sleep

Activity does a body good. Start today.
