Apple Walnut French Toast – gluten free, sugar free & organic recipe

French toast is one of my all time favorite breakfast foods. There’s something to be said for a slightly crunchy exterior and a soft, moist center of sweetened bread that just can’t be beat for breakfast or brunch. This gluten free, sugar free & organic version will make any table light up with anticipation.

Serve it along with fresh fruit and Breakfast Sausage for a complete brunch that will take your family to dinner time.

Everyone will brag about how much work you put into this dish. But we’ll keep it between us how quick and easy it is to make.

- 1/2 loaf Apple Walnut Bread
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 organic egg
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp organic butter
- 2 Tbsp xylitol (optional)

Melt butter in pan on medium temperature. Slice bread into 1” thickness. Whisk together almond milk, egg, vanilla and cinnamon. Dredge bread slices through milk mixture and place in heated pan. Turn when browned on edges. Remove from pan and sprinkle with powdered xylitol (made by placing xylitol in coffee grinder for 1 minute).

Serves 4
