Amy’s Cinnamon Almonds

cinnamon almonds

It’s finally December.  Are you thinking about baking treats for the neighbors? I love to bake and share what I’ve made, especially during the holiday’s.  It gives me a chance to visit with neighbors that I hardly ever talk to. It gives us a chance to be friendly and neighborly!  However, we stopped making cookies for Christmas years ago.  Now, we always make Cinnamon Almonds!

Today is the day that my Cinnamon Almond recipe from the Think Food Cookbook is highlighted!  Every week they post a new recipe from the cookbook, using brain christmasalmonds healthy ingredients, and submitted by bloggers.  To see all the recipes that have been posted so far, you can visit the website .

These Cinnamon Almonds (you have to enter your email on the linked page to see the recipe) is an absolute favorite recipe of both me, my kids, and my neighbors.  We try to make these almonds every Christmas and bag them up for friends and family.  I love making the nuts as our neighbor gift, because they are shelf stable.  I can make these one day, and they are good through all of December to be delivered to the recipients whenever I get a chance.  When you make cookies for neighbors, they are highly time sensitive, and need to be delivered immediately, right?  PLUS, these treat has the brain healthy ingredient; ALMONDS!!  Which is why it was chosen for the gorgeous cookbook.  Plus, I credit the almonds alone for helping me to not gain weight during December.  They are so filling and satisfying, I hardly eat anything else;Smile
