My husband can’t sit still. When he has a few days off from work, he always has to build something. Last week, he headed to the hardware store for PVC Pipe, found 12 golf balls around our yard, and put together a lawn golf game for the kids. They have literally been outside with or without friends every single day to play. It’s easy to play, even for the very youngest kids. The rules are:
Place two “ladders” apart from each other.
One player tosses a rope with two balls attached to each end towards one of the ladders.
If the rope lands on the top rung, he gets 3 points. The middle rung gets 2 points, and the bottom run is 1 point.
Each player takes turns tossing the rope towards one ladder until they reach 21 points exactly. On the last turn, keep playing until the number of points added makes 21, if it goes over or under, the player continues in the game until the exact points are reached.
