So, for those of you who care, yesterday and today are 2 very special days for me. These days are the days that have marked 3 years of my life….
It started off with a day of getting ready, I was nervous….I bought a new outfit and shoes for this so you know I was excited….. I wore black pants, a white tank top and a green dressy button up shirt. The shoes were very very high heels with a cute black bow on the front. It took me about an hour and a half to actually get ready, then I was off.
It started with dinner at Louise’s downtown, I had spaghetti, calamari and strawberry lemonade. After dinner, it was time for the jazz festival in the 3rd ward downtown. I had 2 beers and was hardly old enough to do so. The music was nice, the stores were amazing and the people were welcoming. Then, there was Chicago street…..I’ll never forget those big stairs I had to sit at because my feet were KILLING me, but this is the point where I knew the evening was going well. We talked about life, what we were looking for and what we wanted to do next. He took me to the lake because no one had ever taken me there before, and I knew he had probably taken others there before, but it was special to me because I had never been there….we climbed the rocks and sat down and talked some more. We then went back to his apartment where we talked for about 3 hours. After this, I knew I had to go home (it was 3:30 am!) So, he took me to my car and gave me a soft kiss goodbye and said “I’ll call you when I get home.” And, he did just that…..
I was so excited that night I could hardly sleep….the next day, I called him to see if he wanted to go do something that day….to my surprise, he said yes. I took him to the State Fair because he told me he had never been there before. A perfect thing for us to do… we walked, held hands and talked the whole time. We ate at Saz’s and had a few drinks. We later went back to his apartment, rented a movie and talked for about 3 hours after the movie, it was now 4:30 am and I had to go. He drove me home and gave me a goodnight kiss and called me when he got home, I told him I had a good night and that I hoped we could get together sometime soon….he agreed.
And there you have it, 3 years later and still going. We have had our ups and downs but overall, it’s been the best 3 years of my life and wouldn’t trade it for the world. Who knows maybe you will hear more about him later on….
