22-Year Survivor of Stage 4 Malignant Melanoma to Speak in Maine
Posted Mar 21 2009 3:57pm
Marlene McKenna of Rhode Island will speak about her experience as a 22-year survivor of Stage 4 malignant melanoma at our local macrobiotic potluck. Please come listen to Marlene's amazing story of how she survived with a
prognosis of less than one year to live. Her cancer survival has been medically documented and has baffled many physicians. She chose the
course of alternative therapies after three surgeries, "I turned to a
macrobiotic diet and lifestyle and learned that there truly is a
wonderful connection between diet and mind-body and spiritual health."

Some of our attendees are allergic to certain ingredients, such as soy, gluten (wheat, barley rye grains), perfumes, etc. Please list ALL of the ingredients in the dish you bring. A recipe card is nice but ingredients are critical.
Note: I'm headed to Florida, so I'm taking a break from my Monday recipe post. See you on Wednesday!
