10 Minute Workout

I wasn't planning on posting today as I'm in the thick of final preparations for next weekend's bootcamp . Then I checked today's email and really wanted to share with everyone an email that I received from Craig Ballantyne this morning.

This email really struck a chord as if I had a dollar for every time a person told me they don't have time to exercise ..... (well, you know).

Craig was visiting friends this weekend who are the parents of toddlers. Between the kids, work and life, their workouts have slipped and they feel they no longer have time to do regular justice at the gym.

While a traditional Turbulence Training workout (25 minute bodyweight /dumbbell exercises + 20 minute HIIT session) provides optimal results, Craig was adamant to his friends that they can see results working out 10 minutes per day.

The key is to workout at 100% of capacity during those 10 minutes.

A 10 minute workout, 3x per week isn't going to get anyone shredded, but it will keep you fit (and able to keep up with the kids!).

If you're already a TT Member, Craig will be posting regular 10 minute workouts in the TT Member's Workout Forum. For those of you who are not TT Members, below is a workout that Craig is offering to give you a taste for how you can stay in shape without spending oodles of time at the gym.

Remember, you need to give this workout a 100% effort!

Monday's Bodyweight Circuit:

  • 10 reps of each exercise
  • rest 30 seconds at the end of the circuit
  • go through the circuit 3 - 5 times
  1. Prisoner squat ( bodyweight squat with hands clasped behind head - pull your elbows back!)
  2. Pushups
  3. Lunges
  4. Plank - 20 second hold
