If you are going to cook chicken or steak or anything that has a short cook time use chips. There is a wide variety available. The last ones I bought were apple. But you can get hickory, cherry, oak etc. You should soak them first before using. If you're cooking a big piece of meat, like a roast, whole chickens, a brisket or a tenderloin, you?ll have a much longer cook time. You should use chunks for those meats. You can usually find chips and chunks anywhere charcoal or other grilling supplies are found. What's your favorite grilling wood?
