Hey there! I can’t believe it’s only Wednesday! I feel like this week is dragging by for me, which hasn’t happened in forever. I think I got a little spoiled by myvacationtoRome lol and maybe it’s just taking me an extra long time to get back into the swing of things. Maybe?
Or maybe I am just sad because I don’t have anything fun on my calendar to look forward to for a while. Yeah, that’s probably it. Oh well, I better just take it day by day!
Anyway, enough of my griping. It’s Wednesday and you know what that means…

I have to warn you, my eats are not very interesting this week. I have been extremely busy at work, which means I haven’t had time for snacking. This is actually a pretty bad habit because when I get busy at work I sort of run around like a crazy person and forget about all important human needs- like oh I don’t know, going to the bathroom, drinking lots of water, and keeping my metabolism up by snacking throughout the day.
Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t skip these things all together when I’m busy, it’s just that sometimes I will get home from work and realize I am a bit dehydrated and didn’t use the bathroom more than 1 or 2 times all day (TMI? sorry lol). Usually I drink about 4 or 5 huge cups of water during the day but when I’m busy that just doesn’t happen. The same goes for my snacks.
But oh well, isn’t step one recognizing that you have a problem? Yeah? Ok so at least I’m on the right track. I know I need to take a break from work and get myself some water/a break sometimes. Now I just gotta make it happen
ANYWAYYYY sorry for that super long tangent. Here are my eats for this week!
1. For breakfast, I had my favorite apple cinnamon overnight oats with a chopped up apple and a big scoop of almond butter on top. This breakfast continues to be one of my favorites. It is so healthy and delicious! Plus I love that to get it ready all I have to do is grab it out of the fridge in the morning. So easy. If you have not tried overnight oats yet, you totally should!
2. For lunch I actually took a step away from my desk (yay! progress!) and grabbed lunch with a couple of my coworkers. We chose Potbelly’s because it is cheap and fast. Gotta like that. I ordered a turkey sandwich on wheat with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. It was delicious and I gobbled up every bite. Yum!
3. For dinner I had a comforting chicken soup made with potatoes, zucchini, and carrots ( Treen aren’t cooked carrots your favorite?! haha). It was a really filling and delicious soup and was pretty healthy as well! I promise I will be posting the recipe soon!
Anyway, that’s my WIAW for this week. Nothing special, but I guess it wasn’t too bad for me either. I think I might start photographing my drinks as well for WIAW, even if it’s just to show you a boring picture of a cup of water so that I can keep track of how many I drank. I think it was only about two yesterday :-/ bad bad bad.
