Wedding Talk Wednesday: Badgley Mischka!…

Posted Feb 15 2012 6:59am

Good Morning!  Happy Wednesday!  This week is going by somewhat fast.  I’m glad about that.  I’m just super stressed out this week.  I have a lot to get done in a very short amount of time.  I’m hoping that I can accomplish all that I need to.  I hope all of you had a great Valentine’s Day yesterday!  My work had some odd chocolate party for us.  They put out a chocolate fountain that barely had any chocolate from it.  They put out strawberries, weird-looking cookies, pretzels, pound cake and rice krispie treats to dip it in.  They also had sparkling cider.  Dealing with all of my stomach issues,  I decided to dip part of a strawberry in chocolate and have a small rice krispie treat.  Yeah, my stomach was not happy about that and I’ll leave it at that.  I’m still having a lot of stomach issues but I have an appointment with my doctor on Friday so I’m hoping she can help me then.

When I got home from work, I got started on dinner.  I decided to make us Shepard’s Pie .  Instead of using ground beef because that seems to be a culprit with my stomach, I used ground turkey.  I also made the mashed potatoes vegan/dairy-free.  I used Earth Balance and Almond Milk.  I was trying to make this more friendly on my stomach.  The mashed potatoes definitely did not turn out right at all.  I don’t know what I did wrong but I definitely messed something up.  They were way too creamy.

My stomach of course hated me for feeding it this.  I can’t win.  I thought it might have been gentle enough on my stomach but not so much.  I think I will continue to stick with bread, plain chicken, deli turkey and potatoes.  Those seem to be the most gentle things for me to eat.  Mike surprised me with beautiful red roses last night!  They smelled wonderful!

Beautiful roses from Mike <3

Love how vibrant they are!

These roses are stunning!  I loved how vibrant red the color is.  I am so bad with taking care of flowers.  I’m hoping that I can figure out what to do to make these last long because they are beautiful.  I truly believe that flowers can brighten up even the worst of moods.  There is something about looking at flowers that make things so cheerful.  I love it.

So today is Wedding Talk Wednesday!  I mentioned the other day that Melissa surprised me with a very early birthday present the other night.  My birthday isn’t until next month.  She couldn’t wait to hold these so she wanted to surprise me with them.  Surprise me, she sure did a great job!  I was definitely surprised!!

She handed me a box and told me to look inside.  This is what I saw:

The box!

I literally gasped!  I couldn’t believe what I was looking at!  Melissa and I had been discussing my love of Badgley Mischka shoes.  I think they are all just stunning shoes!  Now I don’t own a pair of designer shoes or anything like that so I was completely shocked!

Behold these stunning shoes!!

Look at the sparkle!

I couldn’t believe my eyes!  I had told her that I really wanted a pair of sparkly shoes to wear to wedding related events.  Never in a million years did I think I would be wearing shoes like this!  I appreciate it so incredibly much!  She seriously means everything to me and it was so incredibly nice, and thoughtful for her to get me these shoes!!  I know that every time I put them on to wear them, I will be reminded of the bond that I have with my sister.  I am lucky in the fact that I was given her as a sister but more importantly, she is my best friend.  Without her, I would be nothing.  Thank you SO much, Melissa!!!!!!  I love you!!!  <3

I’m planning on wearing these to my Bridal Shower, Bachelorette Party, and Rehearsal Dinner!  Now I just need to get outfits for all three that will match the shoes!  I am so excited to put them on and dance the night away.  They are some dancing shoes for sure!  I’m so excited!!!

Do you own any pairs of designers shoes?  What is your favorite pair of shoes that you own?

One of my favorite pairs besides these that I have now, are these red high heels from Fergie’s line. Melissa also bought those for me a while ago, oddly enough.  I feel so confident and sexy when I wear them!  Of course , I always think of the song, “Red High Heels” from Kellie Pickler as soon as I put them.  There is just something about a pair of red heels that makes you feel invincible.  At least that is how I feel in them.

One more wedding related update!  Our Save the Dates arrived in the mail yesterday!  They look absolutely perfect!  I am so excited to send them out.  Now, the hard part begins.  I’m planning on printing the addresses on the envelopes at home using my computer and printer.  I’m so nervous about doing it because I’ve never done it before.  So here is where you come in.  Does anyone know how to print addresses on envelopes for a mac?  Or do you know where you can take envelopes to have addresses printed on them for a reasonable cost?  Such as Office Max, Staples, etc.  I appreciate your help so much!!!  I will show the Save the Dates once they are sent out!

Alright, that concludes another addition of Wedding Talk Wednesday!  Enjoy your day!!
