Vermicelli Sweet...Rich in taste (Rich in Calorie too !! !!)

Serves 4


You will need


400 g roasted vermicelli
400 g sugar
150 g ghee
400 ml milk
1/2 teaspoon saffron


For the garnish

200 g khoya

10 g pistachios, slivered
30 g almonds, slivered
50 g cashew nuts, slivered


Method


Soak the saffron in a little milk and grind. Set aside.

Mash and fry the khoya for a few minutes until light brown. Set aside. Heat the ghee and fry the vermicelli over a low heat till it turns light brown.

Add the milk and stir quickly to blend well. Cook for about two to three minutes.


Add the sugar, mix well and cover . Cook gently until the sugar turns syrupy and is well absorbed. The vermicelli should be dry.

Add half the khoya and mix well. Arrange in a serving dish and garnish with the remaining khoya and nuts.
