The TV Shows That Made It…

Posted Oct 17 2013 6:55am

Hi there!  Happy Thursday to you!  Today is really my Friday since I was given the day off yesterday for working so much over the weekend.  I was actually given two days off but I cannot take my second day next week since we have a big event next week that my boss and I have been planning.  So I can take another day off the following week.  That will be nice to have a day off the first week of November.  It’s always nice to get a little much-needed break especially since I’ve been stressed.  I’m looking forward to it.

So yesterday after work, I realized that I didn’t do a very good job planning out meals for the week and that we weren’t going to have anything to eat.  Luckily, there is a Sam’s Club very close to my work.  I stopped in there and picked up my favorite chicken!  They had plenty on the shelf so I didn’t even need to fight for one.  That is the best!

I also stopped at the Dollar Store which was in the same complex to pick up a few things and then I went on my way home.  When I got home, I baked something for my bosses birthday today and made some sides to go with our dinner.  It felt very therapeutic to me to just unwind in the kitchen and bake and cook.  Now I didn’t bake anything extravagant or cook anything fancy but just being in the kitchen and doing something kept my mind occupied.

Moving on from my dinner.  Today I wanted to talk about some of the new fall tv shows that have made it, in my opinion.  I’ve become hooked on quite a few new shows and I wanted to share them with you and see if you like them as well.  I’m just focusing on the new shows not shows that I already watch.

Trophy Wife

I love this show!  I think it’s both cute and funny.  I am a fan of Malin Ankerman and she not only acts in the show but she actually produces the show as well.  I think the little boy is so cute and some of the lines that are said and pretty funny.

I find myself laughing out loud during this show!  Alison Janney and Anna Farris have great on-screen chemistry as mother and daughter.  They are hilarious together.  I have always liked Anna Farris and it’s nice to see her do something other than movies.  The last episode I watched, I actually saw a guy that I went to college with and did my television filming classes with!  It was crazy to see him acting with Anna Farris as an extra!  So cool!

Sean Saves the World

This is another show I find myself laughing hysterically to.  Sean Hayes is really funny!  I like the whole idea of him being a gay single father.  I think that is something that you don’t see on tv at all.  One thing I don’t like is Megan Hilty in the show.  I cannot stand her as an actress.  I think she over does it.  I try to look past that.

The Michael J. Fox Show

I love that this show is based on Michael J. Fox’s life.  I think that is what makes it even better while watching it.  It is pretty funny and I’ve always liked Michael.  I think it’s a great show to tune into.

The Goldbergs

I had zero intentions of actually watching this show and then Mike and I sat down and watched an episode.  Now I can’t stop.  It’s really hilarious and it’s funny that it takes place in the Philadelphia area with a Jewish family.  It’s something you can relate to on several levels.

Super Fun Night

I find Rebel Wilson really funny.  There have only been two episodes that aired of this show so far but I’m liking it so far.  It’s pretty entertaining when I need a laugh.

I believe those are all of the new fall tv shows that I am watching in addition to all of the other shows that I normally watch.  Do you watch any of these?  Any new fall shows I should check out?

Have a great Thursday!
