We love books, about as much as we like good food! When our boys were small it was a Saturday tradition to visit our local library. I was on our library board for many years and now our oldest son sits on the board. It is a yearly event to host a used book sale and one advantage of being a board member is that you have first dibs on the books! Last week our oldest son and his wife visited us in Phoenix and we discovered it was the weekend of one of the largest used book sales in the country. (Like over 600,000 books!) Since our son is a avid book collector, this was a happy time for all!
We stood in line outside the door for 1 1/2 hours before we were allowed inside. It is held at the Fair Grounds and they only let in several thousand people at a time. It is very well organized and efficient.
We browsed for several hours and came away with some good stuff…
