Tahini is a vegan and gluten-free calcium and protein-rich sesame paste, frequently used in sauces, in hummus and even in desserts. I grew up on heavenly-tasting halva, which is a middle Eastern snack, made of tahini and sugar.
Because of the various health benefits of tahini paste, I use it in many recipes and have a smile on my face whenever my kids eat it. Because nut milks and seed milks have always been popular at my house, I decided to experiment with sesame milk, but instead of throwing a pile of sesame seeds into a blender, I used the ready-made roasted tahini paste. The kids loved it and so did I. Tahini milk is going to be our new breakfast staple! Keep in mind that this milk is creamier and richer than other ( more watery) nut milks.
