1 pkg. frozen green beans or 1 lb. fresh beans
2 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
Pepper to taste
Cook frozen beans according to directions on package but without salt, or cook fresh beans until tender. Melt butter or margarine, add onion, and cook until tender but not brown. Stir in vinegar, sugar, curry and pepper. Pour over hot cooked and drained beans. Makes 4 servings.
