I am so glad the holidays are OVER! I am even more glad we are half way through January, which means I am all caught up with my post holiday to-do list and am finally ready to turn the focus back to my clean eating.
The holidays took a toll on my digestive system. Even though I tried to eat as clean and healthy as possible, lack of sleep, long car drive to visit family and being away from my own kitchen created a vicious cycle that left me exhausted and in tons of stomach pains.
Like I said I am glad that’s all over with and I am ready to get back to my routine.
Earlier this week as I was catching up with my favorite blog, Choosing raw , and discovered a new website, Crazy Sexy Life , and great new book, Crazy Sexy Diet . I bought the book on Tuesday and have been enjoying a chapter every night before bed. The book has been a great reassurance that my current health issues are direct result of how I have been eating in the last couple months. However, getting back to where I was food-wise before holidays is not going to happen over night.
First Step – Juicing every morning. I have been a bit lazy lately and have only been juicing a couple times a week. I started juicing again on Thursday and have been able to successfully avoid the coffee at the office. I think the next big step is to say no to the lunches that are provided at our lunch meeting and sticking to the food I prepare at home.
