I don’t know about you, but as someone who loves food, I often end up wearing what I’m cooking or eating. Of course, being chesty certainly is part of the problem and why most of my t-shirts have a few stains on the front. Even when I wear an apron, inevitably I spill something on me. I guess it’s because I’m really “into” my food. Ahem.
Whatever the case may be, that’s why I’m a bit obsessed with laundry. I love playing with the settings on my washer and dryer. I also have a shelf filled with various detergents for different types of clothes and sprays for many types of stains. Even so, I don’t make messes like the folks in these videos from the folks at GE. Their goofy Stunning Feats of Laundry series demonstrate the power of their appliances through various crazy staining scenarios, such as a jockey on a trampoline with a Mexican wrestler who tries to make wheatgrass smoothies, a tennis player eating a meatball sub on a mechanical bull controlled by a cowboy, and a grandma eating a nacho fiesta behind an airboat. Sure the videos are silly, good natured fun as none of us really get that messy. (I’m amused by the oddball ‘70s vibe of some of the videos, too.) However, I really do love how pretty those top loading GE washers are. (Shiny!) And if you slow down the videos, look at the settings – stain removal for tomatoes and oily stuff, jeans and dark color settings, Steam Assist – nice! It’s the washing machine of my dreams.
