I made this recipe, found online at http://www.fitnessandfreebies.com/local/dips.html
I used fat free mayo, fat free sour cream, and canned baby shrimp. It was surprisingly good. I served it as a dip with crackers at a party and there were NO leftovers, but many compliments. And, it's healthy!
Southwest Shrimp Dip
Ingredients: 1 pound boiled shrimp, peeled and coarsely chopped 2 cups reduced fat sour cream 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (reduced fat) 1 to 2 teaspoons chile powder (to taste) 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 2 tablespoons finely chopped red Spanish onion (or other sweet salad onion) 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice 1/4 cup chopped cilantro leaves 1 teaspoon brown sugar Salt to taste
That looks yummy - thanks for posting! May be good for SuperBowl weekend munchies. Don't know how I feel about "fat-free" anything though - do you ever wonder what is in it that replaces the fat? I like using yogurt & other substitutes when I can. Wonder if that would work.
