RICE ]...INDIAN RICE
It's a complete
meal , different variety of ''Sadam '', delicious and yummy !!!! , goes well with pickles, papad and curd.
Ingredients
Silky raw rice 3/4 of a cup
Moog dal 1/4 of a cup
Vegetables
Carrot 2 medium size
Beans 10 numbers
Small onion a hand ful
Tomato 1 small
Tamarind juice 1 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
Sambar powder 2--2 1/2 teaspoon
Sunflower oil 1/2 teaspoon
Salt 1 - 1/2 teaspoon- [ according to your taste ]
Water 3 cups
Seasoning
Sunflower oil 1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
Asafotida powder 1/4 teaspoon
Curry leaves 10 numbers
Red chilly 2 broken
Method
Wash rice and moog dal, cut vegetables into cubes. Add rice, moog dal, vegetables, salt , turmeric powder, oil, tamarind juice, water and sambar powder into pressure cooker. Mix it well. Pressure cook it for 15 - 20 minutes.
Seasoning
Heat oil in a frying pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds,asafotida powder, curry leaves,red chiily, fry it well.
Add the seasoning in the '' Sambar sadam'' and serve hot.
