In order to reinforce some good behavior around the house ( hey, the screaming and the whining started to get to me, because I am human, too,) we did a little preschool activity. This activity is great for the early conscience development in preschoolers and kindergardeners, for the vocabulary development, for thinking skills and for fine motor skills.
Since we do bilingual homeschool, we wrote a list of actions, in two languages. The actions included ”picking up toys,” “sharing,” “telling a lie,” “screaming,” “whining,” “setting up table,” etc.
We took two paper plates and drew a happy face on one and a sad place on the other one. Then (in an overly simplistic, albeit an effective way) my son had to classify the actions we wrote as “good” or “bad.” The good ones got stapled onto the happy face and the bad ones went onto the sad face. The faces got hung in his room.
