For a red and “full of hearts” Valentine’s day project, I made a sensory tub. A simple, red and happy tub, centered around “pouring” as a theme. Since toddlers and even preschoolers are obsessed with pouring, the tub really worked for our homeschool preschool.
The base for this tub is simple white table salt. The teapots are there to teach kids about pouring from something large to something small. the funnel takes this concept even further. The cups are there for an optional tea party, the spoons are for digging, the strainer is for fun and a heart-shaped muffin tray is a nice touch to help measuring and pouring.
