Recipe of Tandoori Chicken

Posted Sep 13 2008 11:45pm

Tandoori Chicken is a semi-fried chicken delicacy that originated in the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent.

Chicken is marinated in yogurt and seasoned with Tandoori masala. In some modern versions, both red and yellow food colourings are used. It is traditionally cooked at high temperatures in an earthen oven ( tandoor ), but can also be prepared on a traditional grill.

This dish is also popular among Hindi, Bengali, and Urdu speaking Indian states like West Bengal & Andra Pradesh. In Pakistan and India it is eaten with Naan and, in Bangladesh, with rice.

Ingredients

Chicken breasts with T bones only- 1 kg ( full chicken )
