You need

2 teaspoon miso paste

4 medium onions, sliced

4 tablespoon sesame oil

4 cups water

Salt to taste

4 large mushrooms or 8 small ones, sliced

1/2 cup water

200 gm cooked whole wheat or buckwheat noodles

Method of preparation

Saute the sliced onions in the sesame oil in a pot and add the water. Bring to a boil. Add the salt and the sliced mushrooms. Cook for a minute. Mix the miso paste into half a cup of water. Add to the soup. Stir for half a minute, then remove from the heat. Divide the soup into four bowls. Drop equal portion of noodles into each bowl. Serve hot.
