Real Food Challenge – Week 15

Hi everyone, here’s Real Food Challenge , Week 15.

Siggi's Yogurt Sandwich and Apples Pizza and Salad Bran Muffin and Banana Lunch

My brother-in-law is visiting from California so it was our excuse to order in some New York City pizza on Saturday night. Pizza, like chocolate, is my kryptonite. But, I always try to pair it with a nutritious side dish so I made a tasty spinach salad with homemade walnut oil dressing.

If I wake up tomorrow in the middle of Groundhog’s Day, that would be fine with me. A weekend spent eating pizza is one I would happily relive over and over again.

Saturday

“Bowl of Happiness:” Siggi’s blueberry yogurt topped with sliced bananas, walnuts, all-natural granola, and honey

Grilled zucchini, yellow squash, and carrots with pesto on bakery-made tomato focaccia

1/3 of an avocado with salt and pepper

Sliced apples with a heaping spoonful of Justin’s Maple Almond Butter

Slice of pizza and a spinach salad with celery, grape tomatoes, olives, and a homemade dressing of walnut oil, white balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper

Blueberry mojito – yum! (post coming this Wednesday)

Sunday

One half of a bran walnut muffin and a banana

Siggi’s orange ginger yogurt, trail mix with carob, and popcorn chips (all natural, organic, and non-GMO)

Same as Saturday minus the mojito
