On the adrenal support websites, there’s this specialized soup floating around known as the “Taz High Energy Soup” or something along those lines. The ingredients include vegetables that are low in the GI range and are quoted to enhance your energy level - so they say. Well, after getting tired of feeling tired, you are utterly desperate to find some sort of salvation and I went on and made the soup.
I can’t say that I felt any different instantly but I did feel I could carry on through the day without feeling as if I was about to collapse, which has been happening. I did find the soup delightful and light, almost like a minestrone consistency without the beans or pasta. I did do some alternations to the recipe by adding agave syrup as opposed to honey, some basil, and thyme since they screamed to me as I stared down at the bowl. Other than that this is an inexpensive, easy to prepare, light lunch that can pair off with a simple salad and some toast or even a small baked potato.
Taz High Energy Soup 2/3 cup green beans 1 stalk celery, chopped 1 small zucchini, diced ½ small onion, chopped 1 cup crushed tomatoes 1 tsp agave nectar 1 tsp paprika 1 cup vegetable broth
Combine all the ingredients and simmer until the vegetables are tender to your liking. Add salt and pepper to taste, then, serve and feel the energy pulsate within you.
