Progress Report 11/14/10 and The Destruction of Our Property

I was supposed to go to the grocery store today and instead opted to work on my book and generally indulge in a general sense of laziness. No excuses, I didn't go and here lies the problem. I had absolutely nothing to serve the twins for breakfast tomorrow morning. Grainless and dairy free and we had no fruit, no leftovers, no eggs, no peanut butter, etc. So now what? The grocery store still held no appeal, especially going after dark. Yes, I'm still making excuses. Anyway, I looked on my counter and there lay two ripe avocados, so I sat down and brainstormed. What goes with just about everything? Chocolate, that's right! So cocoa powder and avocado went into the food processor with a little vanilla and honey. The consistency is like a thick pudding. I want to experiment with this concoction and make a baked mousse.
The kids loved it especially the babies. My husband and I both sampled it and thought it was yummy. Am I saying my kids are having dessert for breakfast tomorrow? Yes, yes I am.
1/4-1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup honey (or to taste)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Put everything in food processor and blend until smooth. Add some whipped topping or chopped nuts to make a pretty presentation. I had neither. Go figure.
