Painting on paper towels can be a unique experience for toddlers and preschoolers. If you use watercolors, the paint spreads around, which is fun for small kids to watch and try to control. We used homemade watercolors and absorbent paper towels ( the usual eco-friendly paper towels I like to buy do not work for this project, as they have a tendency to rip easily.)
Then, using their pencils, the kids drew round pumpkins on a stack of three folded paper towels. Eventually, they filled these pumpkins with color.
