I was so happy to see pumpkin pancakes on the menu! The last time I ordered them there they were not good. This time they tasted perfect! I think it’s because it wasn’t crowded and we were there at dinner time and not at breakfast/lunch time. I was happy!
After dinner we went to Old Navy to see what kind of sales they had. I have downloaded the Old Navy app on my phone and I was rewarded with a free $5!! Lucky for me a fleece half-zip top was on sale for $4! So I got a pack of gum and a fleece top for 70 cents! That was all I had to add to it. Not bad if you ask me!
Before going to bed on Friday, I put some breakfast ingredients for apple cinnamon oats in the crockpot that I found on Pinterest the other day! I was excited to try this recipe out!
Slow-Cooked Apple Cinnamon Oats
2 sliced apples
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups of oatmeal
4 cups of water
Place the two sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon at the bottom of the crockpot. Pour in the oatmeal and cups of water on top. Do NOT stir. Cook overnight for 8-9 hours on low setting.

These oats tasted like apple pie! They were so good. The apples cooked down really soft and the cinnamon brought out a ton of flavor of the apples. I loved it! Just to warn you, this makes a TON! So if you are just looking to make one serving, I would cut everything down by a lot. You will end up with a lot leftover.
On Saturday, Mike and I went to the mall and walked around for a bit. We went to a few other stores and just relaxed. We were both kind of tired. For dinner, we decided to have eggs and a bagel.
Saturday night dinner!
We rented Rock of Ages to watch. I thought it was horrible! I fell asleep during the last 2o minutes of the movie and I didn’t even miss anything when I woke up. I was not a fan of the movie at all. I definitely could have done without seeing it. The songs were good but I didn’t like Julianne Hough and I was just not a fan of the entire thing. I was happy when it was over! What a waste!
On Sunday, I went out with Melissa and my mom during the day. We went to some stores and we went food shopping for the week. I also played with Oliver for a while. For dinner, we had a rotisserie chicken.
On Monday, Melissa and I spent the day together. My office was closed luckily! I was thankful about that. We went to some stores looking for items that we needed for our little New Years Eve gathering. Mike and I decided to have something small at our house since no one felt like going anywhere. That was fine by me. We ended up saving money by not going out. Melissa and I got some good deals and went back to the house to start prepping! Mike came home from work and helped us. It was fun!

We had just a small party with Melissa, my brother-in-law, Ryan and my friend Tarra. Her husband was unable to make it. We had a nice night together watching Dick Clarks Rockin’ Eve and enjoying food and talking. The night would have been perfect except for the fact that we live below extremely immature and ignorant neighbors who believe they live in a frat house. They threw the most obnoxious party. We asked them to politely lower the music as it was after midnight and all of our guests were leaving. They started fighting with us. It was so incredibly rude. They were the only house in the entire development that behaves this way.
Their party didn’t officially end until after 6am. Needless to say, Mike and I spent the entire night wide awake not sleeping at all. I was so upset and pissed off. I definitely say that 2013 is going to be the year of change. We cannot live like this anymore. We don’t enjoy living where people believe they live in a frat house. I cannot live like that. We want to have peace and quiet in our home and start a family and have a dog. Living underneath those people is not conducive to anything. It’s quite embarrassing to have people come to our home and hear how obnoxious they are any given day. We are sick of it.
Yesterday, Mike and I spent the day watching The Hangover, and Knocked Up. We finally decided to go out to dinner to Red Robin because we couldn’t take hearing those people above us anymore.
We did a lot of talking at dinner and we want to make changes for our lives together. I will discuss some changes and things we want to do tomorrow on the blog. I don’t want to drag this post out any longer than it has to be. We ended up going to sleep at 8:30pm last night but got woken up at 1am by stomping feet. Gotta love it.
Well I hope you had a fabulous New Years! Have a great Wednesday!
