Back when I was pregnant with my Certain Little Someone, I joined an online group of women who were also due to deliver in October 2008. Even after our precious little babies were born, the bond we forged during our pregnancies held us together, and we continued to keep in touch with each other via Facebook. We’ve all supported each other through late night feedings, health issues, teething troubles, tantrums, and more; and I am so grateful for the encouragement and mommy wisdom I gain from these fine women!
One of these lovely ladies is Kristine, founder and owner of Cherry Tree Soaps . When she announced the opening of her business earlier this year, I was so excited for her! And now, I’m excited to offer you an opportunity to win some of her amazing products!
You might think it strange to offer a giveaway for soaps on a food blog, but hear me through: there is logic to my madness, I promise!
The truth is that whatever you rub on and into your skin is also delivered to your blood stream, just like the food your stomach digests. So the lotions and soaps you use have as much of an impact on your overall health as the food you eat. The same goes for what you breathe in from the air, which is why I clean with all-natural cleaners.
If you are careful about the food you eat, then you should also be careful about the toiletries you use. This is what Kristine says about the ingredients used in her products:
Cherry Tree Soaps products contain only the finest natural and organic ingredients available. I use only sustainable ingredients and oils, along with pure essential oils and non-phthalate fragrance oils. When a preservative is required in a certain product, I use only paraben-free varieties. In addition, my products are NEVER made with any synthetic chemical foaming agents, parabens, phthalates, sodium laurel/laureth sulfates (SLS), or detergents of any kind.
Kristine very graciously sent me a box full of samples of her work for me to try, and I had so much fun going through the box and experimenting with each product. I was like a kid given free reign in a candy shop! Only better, because this was much better for me than candy!
LOVE the fun colors!
My thoughts on the various products I tried:
The Sugar Cube scrub is just about the cutest way to exfoliate that I’ve ever seen. It’s also a lot neater than most pots of exfoliant that leak and drip everywhere.
The Renewing Facial Scrub is a gentle facial exfoliant with a lovely creamy texture that is easy to rinse off and leaves the skin on your face smooth and fresh.
I love the fragrance of the Grapefruit Papaya Foaming Facial Cleanser: it’s the perfect wake-me-up in the morning, almost (almost!) better than coffee. And it leaves your face squeaky clean to boot!
The Lip Balms are probably my favorite product over all! I especially love the ingredient list: Coconut oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, flavor oil, natural sweetener and color. And the price is great for such a high-quality product: only $3 each! (I’m keeping these in mind for Christmas stocking stuffers).
The Shea Butter Soaps and Goat Milk Soaps both have two layers, presumably the white layer being the shea butter, and the transparent colored layer having the cleansing agents. In any case, it’s both cleansing and moisturizing, with a pleasing fragrance to boot! And very affordably priced, I might add.
The Perfect Moisture Body Lotion did indeed moisturize perfectly, and smelled lovely as well.
My other favorite product was the Creamy Whipped Soap: such an innovative idea! I tried the Yuzu scent, which was heavenly, but I think I’m going to have to order some of the Coconut Lime because I’m on a total coconut lime kick right now.
To go with the creamy whipped soap is an exfoliating variety: Whipped Sugar Scrub, which was just as awesome! My only problem is I have to choose between the sugar cubes and the whipped sugar: both varieties are just so unique and fun, I can’t decide which I like better!
And finally, the Liquid Silk Facial Creme, which was aptly named. It made my skin feel so smooth and soft, but not greasy, and easily absorbed.
Overall, I found Cherry Tree Soaps products to be:
colorful (love the fun colors!)
I will also add that everything – from the products themselves to the packaging and everything in between – was top notch professionally done. You would never guess that Kristine started (and continues to operate) this company from her own home. (I have a feeling it’s going to grow out of that space pretty soon, though!)
One other thing I love about Cherry Tree Soaps is that part of the proceeds for purchases made in May will go to support Brain Tumor Awareness. Kristine definitely has a heart for helping others and blessing them when she has been blessed. So in the last few days of May that are left, hurry over to Cherry Tree Soaps , make a purchase and support Brain Tumor Awareness yourself!
Now it’s your chance to try out Cherry Tree Soaps. Kristine is generously offering one of my readers a box of products worth $50, in the fragrance of your choice!! This is one you definitely don’t want to miss!
