My New Favorite Smart Cup…

Posted Oct 14 2011 6:54am

Hi there!  Happy Friday!  We made it!  It was a slow week but we finally reached the end.  I cannot say how happy I am for the weekend.  Not that I have anything planned to do but at least I know that I can relax and do whatever I please.  What are you doing this weekend?  Do you have anything exciting planned?  I know I will still be trying to catch up on my dvr watching, and clean up a bit around the house, maybe I will do some baking too.  Other than that, I really don’t have anything planned.  I’m happy about that.

So my drive home from work was pretty long.  There was so much traffic yesterday for some reason and I’m not quite sure why.  At least I had dinner ready to go.  All I had to do was make a salad and roast some veggies.  Let me tell you, I’m really loving the undone stuffed pepper casserole .  It’s a winner for sure!

My dinner plate

Delicious!  It tasted even better than the night before if that is possible.  :)

Last week thanks to the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program, I received a Tervis tumbler to try out.  I was super excited because I have always wanted to try a Tervis tumbler!

Check out the awesome graphics

Tervis

Tervis tumbler’s are considered the World’s First Smart Cup.  This is because they are virtually indestructible – they won’t crack, melt, shatter, or chip and they come with a lifetime guarantee.  They have double-wall insulation which means hot drinks stay hot, cold drinks stay cold and you don’t need to worry about condensation rings.  I hate those rings!  The worst is having a cold beverage in a cup on your work desk and then the rings soaking my important papers.  I hate that!

So I decided to put this Tervis tumbler to the test.  While at work, I first added ice to my cup.  Then I brewed a k-cup of decaf Hazelnut coffee in a seperate cup and poured it over the ice to make iced coffee.

Ice is not even melting..

I have to say that this is my new favorite cup!  It kept my iced coffee nice and cold, and the ice didn’t even melt for well over an hour!  I was impressed.  As for those condensation rings, there were none to report!  I don’t know why it took me so long to try one of these cups.  I really think I need to get a lid and straw for this cup because it’s great for on the go!  Do you have a Tervis tumbler?  What do you think of them?  Thank you Foodbuzz and Tervis for allowing me to try out this awesome tumbler!

I am happy to report that I am slowly making progress on my DVR.  Last night I finally caught up on 4 episodes of Necessary Roughness and managed to watch the season finale.  Keep in mind this show ended in August.  Whoops!  I still have a ton of shows to get through.  I’m kind of disappointed by the fall shows.  I really like Revenge but that is about it from the new fall shows.  Have you been loyal to any of the new fall shows?

Well let’s hope that this work day goes by quickly so we can embrace the weekend.  In the words of Rhianna, “cheers to the freakin’ weekend.”  Have a good Friday!  :)
