225 g flour ( maida ) 1 ripe banana, medium size 2 teaspoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 ( 50 ml ) cup curd 200 ml oil for frying buns 1/4 cup flour extra flour
Method
Mash banana and keep aside.
Mix flour, mashed banana, sugar, salt and curd. Make a very soft dough without adding water ( knead with curd ). Keep aside this dough for 4 hours.
Divide dough into 6 equal portions. Sprinkle dry flour and roll out them into puris / buns.
Heat oil in a kadai / frying pan. Reduce heat to medium and fry buns till golden brown color on both the sides ( 1 bun / puri at a time ).
Serve with coconut chutney / spicy curries of your choice.
Mangalore Buns ( Puri with Ripe Banana )
