Low Calorie Onion Garlic Tomato Chutney

Serves: 2

Ingredients

2 onions, chopped
12 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1 teaspoon oil
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon salt ( or to taste )

Method

Heat oil in a pan. Saute chopped onions and garlic till pink in color.

Add chopped tomato and saute for 2 - 3 minutes.

Add red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Mix well.

Add salt to taste.

Do not add water.

Cover with a lid and cook on a low heat for 8 minutes or till tomatoes are well blended.

Make a paste of this mixture in a mixer or blender until smooth ( without adding water ).

Serve as a side dish with Idli / Dosa / Appam / Pakoda / Bonda ...
