Light Dressing Available at The Olive Garden and A Skinny Margarita!!

The Olive Garden...Yum! I'm barely hungry when my entrée arrives thanks to my overindulgence of the endless salad and breadsticks-- so you can imagine my excitement when I found out that they offer a "light" salad dressing!
Don't be afraid to ask the waiter for the light version. I felt bad at first because I didn't want to seem like that picky, annoying customer (and I wasn't 100% sure it existed!) but he said it was no problem at all!
He brought the salad out without dressing and a ramekin of light dressing on the side along with a ramekin of the regular dressing. It is perfect for those of you who want the light dressing but are out to dinner with people (ahem...mostly boys) who could care less about saving the extra calories.
2 Tablespoons of the Regualar House Italian Dressing contains90 calories 8 grams of fat 3 grams of carbohydrates 7 grams of sugar
Switch to 2 Tablespoons of the Light House Italian Dressing and you get37 Calories (53 calories less for every 2 Tablespoons!!!) 2 grams of fat 0 grams of carbohydrate 0 grams of sugar
WOW!
Not only will you consume fewer calories with the lighter dressing, but also, 6 grams of fat less. To put the fat into perspective a little better-- 8 grams of fat is about the amount that you will find in a hamburger patty.(and that's only for 2 Tablespoons of salad dressing)
Try the Light House Italian Dressing next time you visit the Olive Garden and let us know what you think!!
You can also try their Skinny Margarita!! Yep, they have that too- although you may have to tell them what goes in it to be sure you're on the same page Grand Marnier Triple Sec Club Soda 4 Lime wdges (they'll know the amounts to add)
The skinny margarita contains a lot less sugar than a regular margarita (they don't use the sugar-sweetened mix) and about 100-200 calories compared to the 500 calorie margarita we normally have! It tastes wonderful and your diet can afford seconds:)
You may get a strange look when you request the skinny margarita--but don't give up...it's worth it:)
