Lasagna (singular, pronounced [laˈ za ɲa] in Italian; plural lasagne pronounced [laˈ za ɲe]) is both a form of pasta in sheets (sometimes rippled, though seldom so in Italy) and also a dish, sometimes named lasagnealforno (meaning "oven-cooked lasagne") made with alternate layers of pasta, cheese, and often ragù (a meat sauce) or tomato sauce.

2 stalks of celery ( chopped )

2 carrots ( chopped )

1 large size onion ( chopped )

500 g Tomato paste

1 pack of lasagna noodles ( cooked according to the packet )

Salt to taste

1 teaspoon oregano

¼ teaspoon pepper powder

200gm mozzarella cheese ( shredded )

1 clove of garlic

200 gm cottage cheese

100gm Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoon parsley

Combine celery, carrots, onion and garlic; cook till soft. Add tomato paste, salt, oregano and pepper. Simmer. Mix together the cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese and parsley.

Layer cheese mixture and cooked lasagna noodles in baking dish, and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 180 * C for 30 minutes. Serve hot.
